Who are we?We are a diverse community, who live in and around Didsbury, with many different understandings of faith, theology, the Bible and its meaning for life today. We view such diversity as a strength not a weakness. We not only worship, pray and study together, but we also enjoy eating, relaxing and socializing. The time spent over tea and coffee on a Sunday is an important time for talking and sharing with one another. We are shaped by core Baptist principles of believers’ baptism, congregational government, committed discipleship, and a willingness to engage in the mission challenge. Many members of the church and congregation come from non-Baptist backgrounds and churches. If you are looking for a church into which to settle, we wish you well in your quest. Maybe Didsbury Baptist Church will be the right home for you. If you are interested in finding out more about being a Christian, or have questions about faith you are very welcome to visit or contact us. We will be very pleased to answer any questions you may have about our church life. The minister or another member of the church will be pleased to call on you if you would appreciate a home visit. Please contact us at Info@didsburybaptistchurch.org.uk if you would like someone to call. A little more about usDidsbury Baptist Church is in membership with the Baptist Union of Great Britain and in association with other Baptist Churches in our area. We have close ecumenical links with local churches of other denominations. We govern our church affairs independently of any external church authority. The church supports itself and its ministry financially as well as contributing to various missions and other causes. As a Baptist church, we practise the baptism of believers. © 2005 Didsbury Baptist Church,  Page last updated on 05.09.05 |
